Tulane University, New Orleans, LA

I was born and raised in the southern suburbs of Minneapolis (Burnsville/Apple Valley). I moved around a lot for school and training from Minnesota to Colorado to Louisiana and have really enjoyed getting to experience so many different places. I went to medical school on scholarship with the US Army and after graduating in 2013, I completed a transitional intern year at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. Following an internship, I practiced general medicine taking care of active-duty soldiers for the Army at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska. After completing my active duty service obligation, I have been working full-time as an emergency room physician, at Fort Wainwright.  I am looking forward to putting this capstone on my medical training and pursuing board certification. I like outdoor activities skiing, hiking, camping, kayaking, swimming, cooking and trying new foods, movies, knitting, and traveling. I have a rambunctious Goldendoodle and I am extremely close with my family.
